Important Update: Changes to Appliance and Electronics Recycling Program
We wanted to let you know that due to some changes, we will no longer be holding appliance and electronics recycling events at Fireman’s Park. But don’t worry – we’re working on a new recycling program for 2025! Here’s how it will work:
How to Participate
- Who Can Participate: Cedarburg Light & Water Utility customers.
- Pick a Recycler: Find a recycler that works for you.
- Drop Off or Pickup: You can drop off your items at a recycling center or see if pick up is available.
- Complete the Incentive Form: After recycling, complete the Appliance and Electronics Recycling Incentive form.
- Submit Your Receipt: Be sure to keep your receipt! It should list the items you recycled and any fees you paid for reimbursement.
Incentive Details
- Get a Bill Credit: You can earn up to a $50 bill credit for recycling appliances and electronics (limit one per customer per year).
- First-Come, First-Served: Credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding is limited, so don’t wait too long!
- What You Need for Reimbursement: Turn in a completed Appliance and Electronics Recycling Incentive form and your recycling receipt.
Local Recycling Options
Here are some local places where you can recycle your appliances and electronics:
- City of Cedarburg Appliance Pickup
- Ozaukee Iron and Metal in Port Washington
- Best Buy in Menomonee Falls (mail in electronic recycling option available)
- A&W Iron & Metal in Kewaskum
