The budget billing program is a free service offered to all residential customers. The program is designed to help you avoid unpredictable utility bills and make balancing your budget a little easier.
Your monthly budget amount is based on the average of your actual bill charges during the past 12 months, along with any anticipated change in rates. If you have recently moved and don't have 12 months of utility history, we can still come up with an estimate for budget billing.
We continue to read your meter(s) each month and your utility bill will show how much energy and water you used; the actual bill amount; and the balance on your account. Some months you will pay more than what you actually used and other months you will pay less. To ensure your budget billing amount is correct, the utility reviews budget billing accounts two times a year.
We encourage all budget customers to enroll in our Auto-Pay program. With the automatic payment program, the budget amount is withdrawn electronically from the customer’s checking account on the due date of each month’s bill. There is no fee for this service.
To sign up for budget billing, email your request to General Mail or call us at 262-375-7650. For more information on ACH, click on Payment Information and scroll to "Auto-Pay."
