In November 2019, Cedarburg Light & Water received authorization from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) for construction of a new water tower near the intersection of Sherman and Wauwatosa roads, adjacent to the existing blue ground water storage tank. The additional water tower will provide water storage for water pressure stabilization and enhanced fire protection in the northwest part of the city.
Construction began at the end of September 2020 and will continue through fall of 2021. Once complete, the new water tower will be highest point in Ozaukee County.
